Arrests:

4:54pm   Unit Blk Blythdale         Burglary
Officers Peregoy and Trail were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Development when they were dispatched to a Burglary in progress.  They, along with several other units, responded to the area.  As officers arrived on scene a perimeter was set up along the block while other officers went to the rear area of the units.  The officers walking to the rear suddenly saw a male they recognized from previous contacts run from the rear door of the apartment.  A second male ran from the same doorway and attempted to flee.  After a brief foot pursuit, both suspects were stopped and detained.  Upon returning to the residence where the suspects had fled from, officers discovered that forced entry had been made and the house burglarized. The owner of the residence returned home while police were on-scene and pointed out several items that were now missing.  The entire apartment had been ransacked.  Both suspects were transported back to Ingleside Station for further investigation.  CSI responded to the scene to process the residence for any usable evidence.  Both suspects were issued citations with a court date for the burglary violation along with trespassing and resisting arrest.  Report Number 110696848      ******* Best Arrest of the Day!*********

5:11pm  800 Blk Rutland      Warrant
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel were on patrol when they noticed a white Lexus failing to display a front license plate.  They made a u-turn in order to pull over the Lexus and the driver suddenly pulled the car to a stop and exited.  The officers made contact with the subject and ultimately discovered that he had two active warrants out for his arrest. After confirming both warrants, he was taken into custody and booked in at the County Jail.  Report Number 110691359

9:30pm   600 Blk Morse   Threats/Battery
Officers responded to the area regarding a battery.  A suspect description was put out and a male matching the description was located and detained several blocks away from the incident. The victim was contacted at the residence and explained that she and the suspect had gotten into a heated verbal altercation.  The situation turned into a physical assault and when the suspect was told that the police were being called, he fled from the scene.  Paramedics were called to the scene due to a head injury sustained by the victim.  The victim positively identified the suspect and agreed to sign a citizen’s arrest in order for the officers to take him into custody.  Threats were later made towards the victim and the suspect was transported back to Ingleside Station and booked in at the County Jail.   Report Number 110697783

10:37pm Cesar Chavez/Bryant Unlicensed Driver
Officer Lundy was on patrol in the area when he observed the driver of a Toyota Tercel illegally drive over a set of cones placed in a location in order to block off traffic.  A traffic stop was effected and the male driver contacted. Upon contacting the driver, the officer discovered that the driver did not have a valid license.  A computer query conducted of the vehicle’s registration information also discovered that a fraudulent tab was being displayed and the registration had expired in 2008.  The driver was issued a citation for the vehicle code violations and the vehicle impounded.  Report Number 110694701

11:45pm   600 Blk San Jose   Threats
Officers Dominguez and Conceicao responded to this location regarding criminal threats that had been made towards the victims.  The victims explained that they had been walking down the street when approached by a male suspect that was known to them.  They could see that the male was yelling aggressively and appeared hostile.  He began screaming hate-crime related threats towards them which both victims felt were credible threats.  A third party in the area grabbed the suspect when he began to aggressively close in on the two victims.  The suspect was identified and taken into custody when located at his residence.  Further investigation was conducted at Ingleside Station and the suspect booked into the County Jail.  Report Number 110698060

Officers Naval and Lim were dispatched to this commercial building regarding a burglary.  They met with the store manager upon arrival who explained that he realized he had been burglarized when returning to work this morning.  A video surveillance camera was not working properly so he went to the back area to check the system.  At that point he noticed that a locked door to a storage room was open.  Several boxes containing different types of liquor had been stolen.  He then ran up to his office area and discovered the office had also been broken into. An unknown amount of cash kept in his locked drawer had been stolen.  The suspect also removed the upstairs surveillance camera prior to exiting the premises.  The manager had no suspect information but did believe this incident was related to an earlier incident. Photographs of the scene were taken and booked into evidence.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Station Investigative Unit. Report Number 11693123

8:00am   100 Blk Anderson        Fraud
CPSA Reynolds and Officer Altamirano were dispatched to the residence regarding a fraud.  The victim reported that she was contacted by a supposed collection agency.  The victim knew that she had no financial deficits and told the caller he had the wrong person.  Approximately a month later, she was contacted by a second collection agency regarding a specific account that was in arrears.  The account had an incorrect social security number attached to it.  She became alarmed and contacted all of her banking institutions.  After placing a fraud alert on all of her accounts, she contacted the police to document the incident.  She had no suspect information.   Report Number 110696042

9:04am   Unit Blk Santos     Robbery
Officers Curry and Sanchez responded to this location regarding a robbery that had just occurred. The uninjured victim was waiting for the officers on scene . He explained that he had been waiting at the bus stop when he saw two males walking towards him.  One of the suspects asked him what he had in his pockets and then grabbed him by his sweatshirt.  The victim was able to push away the suspect and began running back towards his house.  He threw down his duffle bag so that he could run faster and get away from the suspects.  He turned and saw the suspects grab his bag and flee in the opposite direction.  He did not know either suspect and had never seen them before in the area.  Officers scoured the area for the suspects but were unsuccessful in locating anyone matching the descriptions given.  Report Number 110695254

Officer Fung and CPSA Lee responded to the residence regarding a fraud.  The victim reported being tricked into wiring a large amount of cash into an unknown suspect’s account.  The suspect had identified himself to be a law enforcement officer, stating that a family member out of the country was in trouble.  After receiving another call requesting more money, the victim realized she had been the victim of a scam.  She immediately contacted the police in order to document the incident.  Report Number 110697175

11:02am    4600 Blk Mission    Shoplifting
CPSA Lee and Officer Fung responded to this retail store regarding a theft.  The assistant manager explained that a known female had entered the store and asked to look at one of the Madden 2012 video games.  She then asked to look at one of the strategy guides that was kept behind the counter.  He got called away to help another customer and turned around when he realized she was leaving the building.  He returned to the counter area and realized she had stolen the strategy guide.  He approached her and saw the item secreted in a child baby seat she was carrying and told her he was calling the police.  She fled from the building and he called the police.  Further investigation to be conducted.  Report Number 110695715

Community College Police Sgt Russo took a report regarding a theft from a vehicle.  The victim reported parking the car on campus and playing in a soccer game. She returned to find her vehicle broken into and several items missing.  There was no suspect information.  Report  Number 110694002

3:00pm  San Jose/Randall   Vandalism
CPSA Lee and Officer Fung responded to this location regarding a vandalism to a vehicle.  The victim reported that while driving down San Jose Avenue, an unknown suspect threw a rock at her windshield.  She noticed two males in the vicinity but she could not identify either.  Her windshield and vehicle sustained damage from the rock.  Photos of the damage were taken and booked into evidence.  A search of the area for the described suspects was unsuccessful.  Report Number 110696490

4:00pm    500 Blk Munich      Robbery
Officer Sugitan responded to this location regarding a robbery. The victim explained that he had been walking home from school when approached by two unknown males.  They initially asked him for the time, which he told them by checking his cellular phone.  He continued walking and was suddenly surrounded by the suspects.  They made threats to harm him and demanded his wallet and cell phone.  Fearing for his safety, he handed over the items.  He also felt that one of the suspects was holding a knife or similar implement in his pocket.  Both suspects fled on foot towards McClaren Park.  The victim sustained no injuries during the incident.  Officers were unsuccessful in locating the suspects within the park.    Report Number 110696804

Officer Chan responded to the area regarding a large grass fire.  SFFD was already on-scene and reported that the fire was under control but of suspicious origin.  A witness had reported seeing a suspicious male unfamiliar to him doing something underneath the baseball bleachers.  The next thing he knew, he heard sirens and saw the male fleeing from the area. The SFFD Arson Investigator will conduct follow-up investigation.  Report Number 110696882

PSA Zabarte was contacted at the station regarding a theft from a vehicle.  The victim locked and left his vehicle and returned to find that it had been broken into.  He was unsure how entry had been made, but found the center console damaged and his car radio stolen.  He had no suspect information.  Report Number 110693496



5:00pm   300 Blk Leland        Dog Bite
Officers Goldsborough and Hornstein responded to the residence regarding a dog bite.  The victim was being treated by Paramedics when they arrived. She reported that she had been walking eastbound down the sidewalk near her house.  A woman with her grandchild began walking in her direction.  She had three leashed dogs that she was also walking.  As the woman passed her, one of the dogs growled and then bit her right leg.  She was unsure which one of the three dogs actually bit her.  The owner of the dog was contacted and all pertinent information obtained.  The victim did not wish to have the owner cited but wanted the incident documented. 6:59pm     900 Blk Geneva      Robbery
Officers Chang and Park responded to this commercial establishment regarding a strong-armed robbery.  A vehicle description was given in which the suspects fled and officers flooded the area. The victim told Officer Chang that he had been seated in the outside dining area of the restaurant when approached by the unknown male. The male asked for a cigarette which the victim indicated he did not have.  The suspect then entered the restaurant for several minutes before re-approaching the victim in the dining area.  The suspect suddenly reached across the table and grabbed the victim’s gold necklace.  The victim unsuccessfully attempted to hang on to the necklace.  The suspect fled on foot and was seen by witnesses getting into a white Ford SUV and driven from the area.  Witnesses also managed to obtain the license plate of the vehicle before it fled. The victim was uninjured and refused any medical assistance.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Station Investigative Unit.  Report Number 11697272

PSA Zabarte was contacted at the station regarding a theft from a vehicle.  The victim reported locking and leaving her vehicle and discovering it had been broken into that evening. 11:58am    Alemany/Geneva         Warrant
Officers Hopkins and Phillips were stopped for a red signal light in this area when they observed a vehicle that had an illegally modified exhaust system.  A traffic stop was effected and the driver contacted.  A computer query discovered an active warrant out of San Mateo County for his arrest on embezzlement charges.  He was taken into custody without incident.  Report Number 110690505

Numerous Ingleside Units responded to the area regarding a street fight involving belts being used as weapons.  Upon arrival on scene, Officers Pederson and Ma located a bloodied, unconscious victim lying in the middle of the street. Paramedics were immediately called to the scene and suspect descriptions obtained.  Officers were able to locate the involved suspects several blocks away and take them into custody.  After positive identifications were made by both witnesses and the victim, they were booked in on numerous assault charges.  The victim was transported to the Hospital due to the level of injury sustained.  Excellent teamwork and arrest!!    Report Number 110691882

Officers Benavidez and Lundy responded to this residence regarding a subject that violated a stay-away order.  The victim reported that she received a call on her cell phone from a subject that had been ordered not to contact her.  The phone call was a violation of that court order and she wanted the incident documented.    Report Number 110692169

Officers Seavey and Morse responded to this location regarding a court order violation.  The victim reported that he had obtained the court order and had the suspect served.  The suspect has now been leaving text messages for the victim and writing inappropriate comments on his Facebook page.  He wished to have the matter documented and further investigation conducted.   Report Number 110690022

6:38am  200 Blk Schwerin    Harassing Phone Calls
PSA Cato was contacted at the station regarding harassing phone calls that she was receiving.  She explained that a former roommate had suddenly begun calling her repeatedly and refuses to stop calling her.  The suspect then began to show up at her residence, which caused her to feel she should report this to the police.  The victim was walked through the steps of obtaining a restraining order and told to continue to document the incidences.  Report Number 110691133

Officer Carrasco was contacted at the station regarding a possible identity theft.  The victim reported that in June she began to receive unsolicited credit cards with her name on it.  She began to monitor all of her active credit cards and notifying all of her financial institutions.  She has not discovered any fraudulent transactions but did not apply for any credit cards nor give anybody permission to do so in her name. She was give a copy of the SFPD Identity Theft Information guide and the incident documented.  Report  Number 110688839

The victim reported that she had locked and left her vehicle at this location.  Upon returning to the car, she discovered that the rear window had been shattered and her IPod and Laptop computer stolen.  She had no suspect information.  Report Number 116109633

11:44am  1800 Blk Sunnydale      Vandalism
Officers Peregoy and Trail responded to this residence regarding a subject throwing things around the and causing damage.  Upon arrival on scene they met with the victim.  They were told that a subject who had been within the residence got into an argument with her and then began to throw powdered bleach and oil all over the living room floor and bedroom walls.  The subject then fled from the residence.  Photographs of the damage were taken and booked into evidence. A search of the area for the suspect met with negative results.   Further investigation to be conducted.  Report Number 110687530

Officers Habib and Pereira were dispatched to this location regarding a burglary.  The victim explained that she had locked and left her hotel room and when she returned, discovered her laptop computer was missing.  It appeared that Housekeeping staff had entered the room during the time she had been gone.  She spoke with the manager about the incident and then contacted the police.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Station Investigative Unit.  Report Number 110691644

CPSA Reynolds and Officer Altamirano were dispatched to the residence regarding a theft from a vehicle.  The victim reported that he had gone into the residence to take care of his aunt and suddenly saw a male approach her SUV.  He quickly removed the catalytic converter from beneath the car, got into a waiting vehicle and fled from the area.  The victim got into his personal car and attempted to catch up to the suspects but ultimately lost them near Octavia Street.  A description of the suspect vehicle was obtained and further investigation will be conducted.  Report Number 110688215

Sgt. Miller was on patrol when he was flagged down regarding a street fight taking place in the area.  He responded to the location and found two males in the street in the midst of a heated verbal altercation.  The subjects appeared as if they had just discontinued a physical altercation.  All parties involved were interviewed and none wanted any police intervention.  They both agreed that the fight began as a mutual confrontation that escalated into a physical fight.  After ensuring that no injuries were sustained, they were all released from the scene and the incident documented.  Report Number 110690969

The victim reported locking and leaving his vehicle at this location.  Upon returning to the car, he discovered the window broken out and several pieces of electronic equipment missing.  He had no suspect description.  Report Number 116109586

9:15pm 400 Blk Franconia     Robbery
Officers Abucay and Chan responded to the residence regarding a robbery victim.  The victim explained that she was the owner of a bar and had just returned home from work.  As she approached her driveway, she saw two bags of clothing blocking the driveway entrance.  She exited her vehicle to move the bags and was approached and grabbed from behind.  The first suspect grabbed her and covered her mouth, then threw her onto the ground.  The second suspect was pointing an unknown dark object at her. She feared for her life and did not move.  The second suspect went into her vehicle and removed some items from the car.  Both suspects then fled from the area on foot.  CSI was contacted to respond to the scene and process the vehicle.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Station Investigative Unit.   Report Number 110691923

Arrests:

9:40pm               3300 Blk Mission        Robbery
Officers Ma and Pederson were dispatched to a robbery.  Various other Ingleside units responded to assist.  They located a male lying face down in the street that was unconscious and bleeding from the head.  They immediately summoned an ambulance and the victim was transported to the hospital for further medical evaluation.  The only information the victim could provide was that he was leaving a bar when he was confronted by two individuals.  Victim said he took off his belt for protection and he was then attacked.  Officers located various witnesses who were able to give a detailed description of the suspects and believed they would be able to identify them.  Officers Archilla and Paras were on patrol in the area when they observed two males matching the description given by the witnesses.  They detained the individuals and the witnesses were brought to the scene where the suspects were detained.  The witnesses positively identified the two men as the ones who they observed beating the victim who had been transported in the ambulance.  The two men were taken into custody and booked accordingly.  Officers responded to the hospital and the victim was able to identify various items found at the scene as belonging to him and had been taken when he was attacked.  Report 110691882 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY***

Sgt. Miller responded to a burglary.  He spoke with reportee who told him that she left her home and secured it and when she returned noticed a large printer missing.  She told Sgt. Miller that she believes an individual who house-sits for her on occasion took the printer but she did not actually see him take it.  She stated that the individual she suspects possessed keys to the property and knew the alarm code.  There were no signs of forced entry which she or Sgt. Miller could provide.  A check with her alarm company did show that someone had entered the premises on that day and entered the correct alarm code.  Victim stated that individual was not her and that is why she suspected the house sitter.  Report 110692830

12:00pm             500 Blk 27th St.           Fraud
CPSA Lee and Officer Fung responded to a fraud.  Victim advised that he was attempting to sell some furniture on Craigslist and corresponded with someone who wished to purchase it.  The e-mails were supposedly sent by a legitimate company known as Pay Pal and the individual asked him to deposit money into an account for the shipping expenses for the furniture.  Victim did so and when he was asked to deposit more money into the account became suspicious.  He then contacted PayPal and they advised him they sent no such e-mails to him.  Victim provided the name to the officers of the individual he corresponded with and wanted the incident documented.  Report 110693941

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Officer Thompson that he locked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found the rear window smashed and items missing.  He was unable to provide any further information to the officer.  Report 110693258

12:00pm             900 Blk Geneva          Threats
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that a former tenant of his had been calling him repeatedly and using abusive and foul language.  During one of the phone calls the suspect stated, “You and your family are going to pay.”  Victim considered this a threat and wanted the incident documented.  The officers spoke with suspect by telephone and he told them he didn’t mean to threaten the victim but the comment meant he was going to take his former landlord to court.  Report 110692692

2:00pm               2600 Blk Bayshore     Burglary
Sgt. Miller responded to a burglary.  Reportee advised that he left the evening before and secured the premises.  He returned this morning and found a makeshift wall had been pulled down, an interior door kicked in and various items missing.  He was unable to provide any suspect information and there were no witnesses.  Sgt. Miller’s investigation revealed the damage to the doors was the point of entry and that processing of the scene at this time was not warranted.  Report 110693026

A victim responded to Ingleside station and advised PSA Zabarte that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found the glove box had been broken and various items were missing.  The victim said there was no sign of forced entry into his vehicle and he did not suspect anyone.  PSA Zabarte was unable to process the vehicle for any evidence because the victim did not bring it with him to make the report.  Report 110692987

CPSA Lee and Officer Fung were dispatched to a burglary.  They met with victim who advised that he locked and secured various bicycles in the garage area of the home and when he returned found the lock and the bicycles missing.  He was unable to provide any further information and stated he was uncertain if there were any security cameras working in the building.  Report 110693082

SFCCPD Officer Wong responded to a theft.  Victim advised that she stored her items in a locker and secured it with a lock.  When she returned and went to open the locker found the lock damaged and items missing.  She was unable to provide any further information.  Report 110694171

SFCCPD Officer Burlyga responded to an auto boost.  The victim advised that she locked and secured her vehicle.  She returned to her vehicle and left the campus.  While driving she reached into her center console and found damage and several items missing from the vehicle.   She was unable to find any sign of forced entry into the vehicle and was unable to provide any further information.  Report 110693606

6:58pm               4300 Blk Mission St                  Narcotics
Officers Archilla and Abucay were on patrol when they noticed a suspect carrying a black marker.  The officers know that often times black markers are used for graffiti.  The suspect was with two other subjects in an area known for graffiti.  The suspect with the marker ducked behind a vehicle for a few moments and then continued walking with the other two subjects. The officers stopped to talk with the suspect.  A records check revealed one of the suspects had an outstanding warrant.  A second subject was in possession of suspected marijuana, packaged as if it was for sale.  The two subjects were taken into custody, the third was released.  Report 110688776 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY***

Officer Carrasco took a report regarding a theft.  The victim concealed her purse inside of her backpack.  Later on, the victim discovered her purse was missing.  Report 110688453

Sgt. Miller was on patrol when he noticed a subject riding his bicycle.  The Sgt. contacted the subject, who informed him that he was on probation.  The subject was in possession of a knife.  The Sgt. took custody of the knife and the subject was released.  Report 110684724

3:26pm                1900 Blk Sunnydale Ave           Robbery
Officers Peregoy and Trail were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle.  The victim said that he saw three suspects breaking into his vehicle.  The suspects fled so the victim went to his vehicle to see what was missing.  The suspects returned and demanded more property from the victim. One of the suspects ripped the victim’s earring out of his ear.  The suspects fled again.  The suspects stole several items from the vehicle.  Report 110688196

1:45am               600 Blk Alemany          Disturbing Peace
Officers Contreras and Hermosura responded to a report of a noise complaint.  Upon approach of the residence, the officers heard a very loud television.  The officers knocked on the door but received no response at first.  Finally, the resident came to the door and was very angry that the officers disturbed her.  The witness stated that the resident in this home often blasts the volume on her television.  The witness signed a citizen’s arrest for disturbing the peace against the resident and she was cited.  Report 110683936

Officers Morgante and Martinez were dispatched to a report of a robbery and stabbing.  The victim had a puncture wound on his leg.  The victim said he was walking from the BART station when he was approached by the suspect.  The suspect demanded the victim’s money.  The suspect grabbed the victim’s cell phone out of his hand.  The suspect then stabbed the victim in the leg with a knife.  The victim fled from the suspect.  The victim saw the suspect get into a vehicle driven by a second suspect.  Report 110684116

PSA Flynn took a report regarding a theft.  The victim had placed some cash under a rug in her bedroom.  The victim realized the money was missing the following day after a repair man had been inside her residence.  Report 110685578

Officers Johnson, Hart and Obot responded to a report of shots fired.  The victim was in her vehicle when the suspect approached her.  The suspect grabbed the victim by the neck and strangled her.  The suspect let go of the victim’s neck when she started to cry.  The suspect then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim.  The suspect reached into the victim’s pocket and took out some cash.  The suspect pointed the gun at the vehicle and shot out the tires.  The suspect fled.  Report 110685738

Officers Burke and Hauscarriague were dispatched to a report of a robbery.  The victim was on a MUNI bus holding her purse.  When the bus stopped, two suspects approached her.  One suspect grabbed her purse.  The victim attempted to hold onto her purse. The suspect dragged the victim onto the floor and down the stairs of the bus.  The victim was then dragged off the bus onto the pavement.  The suspect gained control of her purse and fled.  Report 110686281

SFCCPD Officer McGlaston took a report of a theft.  Three victims each placed their personal belongings into lockers and secured the locker with locks.  Each victim returned to the locker and realized the locks had been cut and their items taken.  Report 110680330

Officers Nibungco and Pereira were dispatched to a report of a robbery.  The victim was walking when he noticed a vehicle driving by him.  The victim continued to walk when two suspects stepped out in front of him, blocking his path.  The victim recognized the suspects from being inside the vehicle.  One of the suspects pulled out a knife and held it to the victim’s neck.  The victim feared for his life and handed the suspect his cell phone and wallet.  The suspect fled.  Report 110686720
